Gel Varnish is fantastic! I tried the Shellac brand but prefer to use GelUX. This varnish gives you a shiny, smooth finish and lasts on toes for up to 4 weeks and on fingers for 2 weeks WITHOUT chipping! The gel also protects the nail and encourages the nail to grow.

I Was mainly doing the French Acrylics but now, since I invested in some pots of Glitter have been going wild with the Full Glitter Acrylics. They are soo popular and I really love doing them as they look great and are so eye-catching! When I put my first set on I couldn`t stop looking at them! Here are a few images of the Full Glitter Nails…

Peachy TIPS

·         Pulling out your own lashes when removing Falsies? Use a little baby oil on a cotton bud and rub along the lash line to loosen them first!

·         When contouring your face (cheekbones, nose or jaw), use either a foundation or powder (this can be eye-shadow) which is no more than 2 shades darker than your skin. Also make sure the foundation or powder has a cool tone to it for a more natural effect.

·         Brows. Want to fill in your eye-brows without them looking too heavy and false? Use an eye shadow which is roughly to shades lighter than your hair colour. To apply use a slanted make-up brush and apply in small light strokes, following the natural brow shape. To finish brush through a clear mascara to remove excess powder and set brows. VoilĂ .

·         Lips. When wearing a strong lip colour… ALWAYS use a matching lip liner. This will prevent the lipstick from bleeding and will also give the appearance of a fuller lip.

·         When lining lips, do not draw around mouth , instead try to follow the very edge of the natural lip line.

All Things Fashion

Yesterday was the release date of Ashley Colin’s single SuperDiva. We are hoping to make it into the independent chart top 100! So to help the cause we got on our pink poloshirts, filled our pockets with SuperDiva promo flyers, had our clipboards at the ready and headed into Glasgow town to get the downloads started!
It was an early start, 9am I met Ashley andLesley at Lesley’s cousin (Karens) flat. There was an hour delay to do with the promo flyers, but make-up and hair was finished by 12pm.
We then met up with Ashley`s dancers: Nicholajayne Campbell, Jason Ernest Bedwell , Aadam Mohammed,  Jay Graham and talented promoter Scott Garvie.  Driving into Glasgow, I eventually found somewhere to park… however my parking skills prove not to be the best and I crashed into a pole. NOT GOOD!
We met George Monaghan in the St.Enochs Centre (where I ended up parking) and headed out onto the streets from there.
Dressed for the cold wet weather of Glasgow!

Umbrellas were a must on Monday!

Saturday night (1st Oct) was Ashley Collin`s official launch night for her single Superdiva at Delmoica`s. I was  up there for 8pm to do her make-up, just as rehearsals had finished while Lesley done the hair. Ashley went on stage at 9.45 and blew the place away singing a Pixie Lot number, then an acoustic version of her own songs, and finally Superdiva!! Was a great night! Good luck Ashley in the download chart! Here is the official cover for the single Superdiva, out on the 17th October!

The shoot last Monday with Lauren Jamison, Tommy Cairns & Lesley Docherty went great! We managed to shoot 4 separate looks in the one day and the outcome of the images are beautiful!!!

Really looking forward to tomorrow... Have a shoot with model Lauren Jamison, photographer Tommy Cairns & Lesley Docherty (the best baker in Kilmarnock!). We are doing 2 Preppy looks and a High Fashion Glamour look - which I am most excited about! Here is what we have in mind for the glamour....

The Farm. After meeting Lesley Docherty at The Glitter Beach Launch she contacted me via Facebook to see if I`d be interested in doing a shoot out in Ayr. There were 3 models involved: Alexandra Prior, Nicholajayne Campbell & Ashley Collins. The photographer was George M Monaghan of Monapics, who that day I had met for the first time and would soon work with alot in the future. I am so glad I took on the Farm Shoot. Not only did I get GREAT images out of it, I also had a really fun day! It was so relaxed, we all had a good laugh, George made us pizza, sausage rolls and tea. was brilliant! Apart from getting lost on the way home to Glasgow...I really must invest in a Satnav!  George also put a video together which shows just how good a day we had!

all above, Alex.

The Glitter Beach Ball Launch. Victoria Lee, founder of Glitter Beach Ltd. held a charity event which showcased her wonderful swimwear designs. The event was held in the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, was very swanky! I had 7 models to complete in about 3 hours, hair and make-up!!! Luckily for me Ashley Collins who was singing at the event had brought along her AMAZING personal hairdresser: Lesley Docherty of Head Strong Soloutions, who gave me a massive hand. Eventually after all the stress we got all the models on the runway on time! Who knew I would be working alongside Ashley & Lesley in only weeks to come! Once all hair and make-up was finished, I could get myself ready and down to The Glitter Beach Ball where I had an amazing Barbados inspired meal, a few beers, good chat and a wee dance. Was such a fantastic night!
Tari Robertson, the finale of the launch.
